The Castle of Warsaw – Unknown History. The Archeological Poster Exhibition

The Castle of Warsaw – Unknown History

The Archeological Poster Exhibition

 May 15 – June 22, 2015

 The Great Courtyard

The exhibition presents the most important archaeological and architectural works which have been carried out within the Royal Castle in Warsaw. Each board presents a series of inter-war, post-war and contemporary discoveries. Undoubtedly, mediaeval fortifications of the residence of the Mazovian Dukes which were unearthed between 2004 and 2007 in the Tin-Roofed Palace courtyard were the most interesting discovery. Those excavations have confirmed the early existence of Warsaw.

Curator of the exhibition: Rafał Mroczek, the Archeological Department of the Royal Castle in Warsaw
